At the end of December 2023, we re-launched our community and named it Purpose Champions 🎉 

Our goal with Purpose Champions is to build a new free community for those who manage programmes aimed at engaging stakeholders to progress their impact objectives. By “stakeholders” we mean your employees, clients, customers, suppliers, partners or members. Depending on your organisation and programme, you may aim to engage either one or more stakeholders. Whether you manage volunteering or D&I programmes, organise community events, lead a membership network, or engage suppliers in doing good, we welcome all sectors and professionals working to drive the ‘sustainability agenda’ to connect and learn from one another.

Vision Statement:

We envision a world where Purpose Champions collaborate seamlessly, united in driving positive change for a sustainable and equitable future. 

Mission:

Our mission is to build a vibrant community fostering collaboration and learning for professionals dedicated to drive their sustainability goals forward. By connecting, collaborating and learning from each other, purpose champions increase participation in their programmes, and help accelerate social and environmental progress.

5 Core Values:
 

1. Purpose-Driven Action: We are driven by a shared commitment to purpose. Our actions are guided by the belief that positive change is possible when individuals and communities align their efforts with a higher purpose.
    
2. Resilience: In the face of obstacles and setbacks, we exhibit resilience. We learn from challenges, adapt to new circumstances, and persevere with determination, recognising that resilience is essential for creating lasting change.
    
3. Inclusivity: We embrace diversity in all its forms and promote an inclusive environment. We recognize that diverse perspectives, backgrounds, and experiences enrich our community.
    
4. Partnership: We’d love to build a culture of helping each other achieve shared goals. By working together, sharing insights, and pooling resources, we can achieve a far greater impact than by acting alone.
    
5. Curiosity: We foster a continuous learning environment where members exchange insights, ideas, and experiences. Embracing curiosity and adaptability, we seek knowledge to enhance our collective ability to address challenges.

2. Proactive knowledge sharing: Proactively share knowledge, best practices, and relevant resources to enrich the collective learning experience. By openly exchanging insights, we amplify our collective understanding and effectiveness.
    
3. Constructive dialogue: Promote constructive and open dialogue within the community. Encourage discussions that inspire new ideas, perspectives, and solutions while maintaining a respectful and inclusive tone.
    
4. Equitable engagement: Promote equitable participation and inclusion within the community, recognising and valuing diverse perspectives, backgrounds, and experiences. Strive to create an environment where everyone feels heard and valued.
    
5. Empowerment through feedback: Offer and receive feedback constructively. Use feedback as a tool for personal and collective growth, empowering each member to continually enhance their contributions and impact.
    
6. Supportive exchange: Encourage a culture where members feel comfortable sharing their challenges and seeking support from the community.
